NPP would have to kill us before ejecting Mahama

The First Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam Anita Disoso has hinted they will mobilise women from the umbrella family to storm the residence of former President Mahama which he’s been occupying since he was vice president to prevent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government from ejecting him.

She stressed that parliament has approved former President John Dramani Mahama’s request to maintain the residence as his retirement package.

A statement from the office of the former president said both parliament and the new administration have agreed that he [Mahama] maintains the residence.

However, spokesperson for the NPP’s transition team who doubles as the MP for Ofoasi Ayeribi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, denied claims that an approval has been given.

But Anita Disoso maintains the request has been approved and the denial by the NPP is only meant to denigrate the former president and has challenged the new administration to dare eject Mr. Mahama.

"Parliament has approved the request by the former president but if the NPP still insist they do not want to occupy the Australian House and still want the one being occupied by former President John Dramani Mahama, then they should go and eject him. They should dare eject him…If they have the effrontery, they should go to the residence and eject Mahama because they will be digging their own pit and not ours.

"Anyways, by the time they will get there, I would have mobilised our women to protect the former president. When they finish killing us, then they go ahead and eject him. They want to embarrass him. They should go ahead and embarrass him. Is that not what they want to do? We do not have anything to say to them but we are waiting for them. They should come over to his residence, we are waiting for them.’’
