“So, we cannot compare apples and mangoes,” he stressed. Mr Ofosu Ampofo made these remarks on Wednesday, November 9 while addressing party supporters at Adum Banso in the Mpohor Constituency of the Western Region.
‘Encouraged & emboldened’ He pointed out that what has happened in the US has “encouraged and emboldened” the NDC ahead of the December 7 elections.
“We are encouraged and emboldened by what has happened in the US to activate our organizational machinery and move from house-to-house, community-to-community and intensify our campaign.”

But Mr Ofosu Ampofo, a Vice Chairman of the NDC, said Mr Trump was standing as a fresh candidate while US President Barack Obama had completed his term.
In Ghana, he said, President Mahama is going for reelection while Nana Akufo-Addo is making a third attempt.
“We have a president,” he emphasized.
Therefore, he said, NPP are deceiving themselves Ghana’s elections will go for them. He said that party has no principles “so they jump from one point to the other”.
Door-to-door, window-to-window He called on party supporters to rather intensify campaign ahead of the elections.
NDC supporters must intensify the campaign from “village-to-village, market-to-market, house-to-house, door-to-door, window-to-window, bed-to-bed,” he urged.
Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur called on the party’s supporters to make sure President John Mahama gets re-elected.
He asked them to brood over what Mr Ofosu Ampofo has told them to make sure they spread the word into every nook and cranny.
